MLBB: Team Liquid continues M7 lower bracket surge after ousting Aurora Turkiye

JAKARTA—Team Liquid shrugged an early hiccup to pull off hard-fought 3-1 victory over Aurora Turkiye in the M7 World Championship lower bracket quarterfinals on Friday.

The Cavalry sustained a dismal Game 1 loss, but dominated the next three games including a massive comeback act in Game 4 to advance to the lower bracket semifinals.

Team Liquid also eliminated the Turkish club in the process.

Aurora Turkiye caught Team Liquid off guard in the series opener with jungler Tienzy shining with a spotless KDA of six kills and seven assists on the Leomord.

Team Liquid’s own jungler in Karl “KarlTzy’ Nepomuceno, however, refused to go quiet, unleashing an emphatic Savage play late in Game 2 with his signature pick Yi Sun-Shin that allowed the Cavalry to level things up in the best-of-five affair.

Aurora, though, managed to take an early lead in Game 4 after destroying all but two of Team Liquid’s turrets and securing the first two Lord objectives led by Tienzy’s Harley pick.

Team Liquid displayed discipline and familiar patience as KarlTzy (Hayabusa) made a crucial Lord steal during a 17th-minute clash, paving the way for the top lane push and the victory.

With Team Liquid’s win, the dream for an all-Filipino grand finals clash remains alive following another Filipino squad Aurora Gaming’s upset victory over SRG in the upper bracket finals on Thursday.
