Angel Otom cops 5th ASEAN Para Games gold medal

Angel Otom continued to dominate the waters of the ASEAN Para Games, capturing her fifth gold medal in the swimming event on Saturday in Thailand.

The 22-year-old swimming ace clocked 44.51 seconds to rule the women’s 50m freestyle S4-S5 to bag another gold for the Philippines.

Otom previously emerged victorious in 200m freestyle S5, 100m backstroke S4-S5, 50m backstroke, and 100m freestyle S4-S5.

By achieving her fifth title, Otom has already surpass her gold medal tally in the previous edition in Cambodia, where she nailed four golds.
