Who are the Philippine athletes competing in the 2026 Winter Olympics?
The 2026 Winter Olympics will open on February 6 in Italy, with Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo hosting the majority of the events.
The Philippines, meanwhile, will have two representatives in the upcoming Winter Games—both competing in alpine skiing.
Francis Ceccarelli (Alpine Skiing)
Ceccarelli, 22, is an alpine skier who was born in Quezon City before being adopted by Italian parents and moving to Italy at the age of eight, according to the Olympics website.
The Filipino-Italian earned his Olympic spot via quota, making him the fifth alpine skier to represent the Philippines at the Winter Olympics, following Juan Cipriano and Ben Nanasca (1972), Michael Turuel (1992), and Asa Miller (2018, 2022).
Although this will be his Winter Olympic debut, it will not be the first time Ceccarelli represents the Philippines, having previously competed for the country in the 2025 Asian Winter Games.
Tallulah Proulx (Alpine Skiing)
The Philippines will also send its youngest-ever Winter Olympic athlete in alpine skier Tallulah Proulx.
Based in the United States, Proulx is a 17-year-old skier who also secured her Olympic spot through quota qualification.
According to the Olympics website, she is also Southeast Asia’s first female athlete to compete in the Winter Olympic Games.
Proux was also part of the Philippine delegation to the 2025 Asian Winter Games.
