2026 Winter Olympics: PH’s Tallulah Proulx finishes 52nd overall in women’s giant slalom

Filipina Olympian and alpine skier Tallulah Proulx finished 52nd overall in the women’s giant slalom event of the 2026 Winter Olympics on Sunday at the Tofane Alpine Skiing Center.

Proulx, the country’s first female Winter Olympian, clocked 1:17.15 in the first run to place 59th. She improved in the second run, posting a time of 1:24.47 to climb to 52nd place. Her combined time of 2:41.62 secured her a 52nd-place finish overall.

Italy’s Federica Brignone captured the gold medal with a total time of 2:13.50. Sweden’s Sara Hector and Norway’s Thea Louise Stjernesund shared the silver medal after both clocking identical times of 2:14.12.

On Saturday, Francis Ceccarelli placed 54th in the men’s giant slalom.

Both Filipino alpine skiers are set to compete in the slalom events in the coming days.
