Francis Ceccarelli ends campaign at 2026 Winter Olympics

Filipino Olympian and alpine skier Francis Ceccarelli saw his campaign at the 2026 Winter Olympics come to an end on Monday after registering a DNF (Did Not Finish) in the men’s slalom event in Bormio, Italy.

According to the Philippine Olympic Committee, Ceccarelli crashed during his first run, bringing his campaign to a close, while heavy snowfall also impacted track conditions.

“Representing the Philippines is an honor for me — for the Pinoy people and for my family,” Ceccarelli said in an interview.

In the giant slalom, Ceccarelli placed 54th overall.

Meanwhile, Tallulah Proulx is set to compete in the women’s slalom event on Wednesday.
