Who are the WTA Top 10 players Alex Eala has defeated?

Alexandra "Alex" Eala stunned world No. 8 Jasmine Paolini, 6-1, 7-6(5), in the Round of 32 of the Dubai Tennis Championships early Wednesday.

The victory not only propelled Eala deeper into the tournament but also marked her third career win over a WTA Top 10 player.

So who are the other two?

Madison Keys

Eala defeated Keys in the Round of 32 of the Miami Open last year, 6-4, 6-2. At the time, Keys was ranked No. 5 in the world, while the Filipina ace was No. 140.

Eala then advanced to the quarterfinals after Paula Badosa withdrew due to injury, handing her a walkover victory in the next round.

Iga Swiatek

In the quarterfinals of the same Miami Open campaign, Eala delivered another shocker, defeating world No. 2 Swiatek, 6-2, 7-5, to book a semifinals berth against Jessica Pegula.

Eala eventually fell to then-No. 4 Pegula, 6(3)-7, 7-5, 3-6, which marked her first loss to a Top 10 opponent at the time.

She later suffered another defeat to Swiatek, 6-4, 4-6, 2-6, in the Round of 64 of the Mutua Madrid Open.

On Thursday past midnight, Eala will face Sorana Cirstea, world No. 32, in the Dubai Tennis Championships Round of 16.
