Ynot steps down as Sibol MLBB head coach for Asian Games
Anthony “Ynot” Senedrin has stepped down as head coach of Sibol's Mobile Legends: Bang Bang team bound for the 2026 Asian Games, citing 'new professional commitments'.
The development comes as the national esports squad undergoes a reshuffle to finalize its roster and coaching staff in bid to deliver a gold medal as MLBB makes its debut in the prestigious continental sporting event to be held in Japan later this year.
"The Sibol management would like to share an update regarding our Asian Games MLBB roster. Anthony “Ynot” Senedrin is stepping down as head coach for our Asian Games initiative due to new professional commitments," Sibol said in a Facebook post on Sunday.
"We sincerely thank coach Ynot for his leadership and wish him success in his future endeavors."
Ynot's departure came a day after Sibol announced the star-studded coaching support led by Francis "Ducky" Glindro, Denver "Yeb" Miranda and Michael "Arcadia" Bocado.
All champions in their own right, coaches Ducky, Yeb, and Arcadia are among the most recognized names in the MLBB scene.
Ducky called the shots when Sibol dominated the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia in 2023. He also won a couple of world titles when he led Bren Esports to M2 World Championship and AP. Bren to the M5 World Championship.
Yeb and Arcadia, meanwhile, are prominent names abroad. Yeb helped Onic Indonesia win a number of titles in MPL Indonesia as either a head coach or analyst while Arcadia was the architect behind SRG's dominance in MPL Malaysia and MSC 2024.
Together, the three tacticians will join forces to guide Sibol Pilipinas as they aim to assert their dominance on the Asian Games stage.
Sibol also announced that it will hold another qualifiers in search of Ynot's replacement.
"Sibol will soon hold a new round of qualifiers to search for the next head coach to lead our national team in the Asian Games in Nagoya," Sibol said.
