LOOK: National Taekwondo Center at Rizal Memorial breaks ground
The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) and the Philippine Taekwondo Association (PTA) on Thursday broke ground for the National Taekwondo Center at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila.
The new facility will span 1,000 square meters and is expected to have a seating capacity of around 900.
“After 20 years, our dream of having a new training center will soon become a reality. It’s an epic moment for the PTA,” said PTA president Rafael Alunan III.
Philippine Sports Commission chairman Patrick “Pato” Gregorio, meanwhile, said the facility will open more opportunities for Filipino athletes.
“At PSC, we enable, we excite, and we make it happen,” Gregorio added.
