A year after her breakthrough run, Alexandra “Alex” Eala returns to the Hard Rock Stadium in Florida looking to build on her historic showing at the Miami Open.
In 2025, Eala introduced herself on the global stage, defeating top players en route to a stunning semifinal appearance. That performance propelled her into the WTA Top 100 and jumpstarted a milestone season, including Grand Slam main draw debuts, a WTA 125 title, and a Southeast Asian Games gold medal.
Now seeded No. 31, the world No. 29 Eala enters the 2026 edition with a first-round bye.
