“I’ve always loved the energy of New York sports. To stand on this mound where so many legends have played is a great honor. I might be a boxer, but today I’m just a fan of the game,” Pacquiao said, according to a release from his camp.
The Yankees won the match, 5-3.
Pacquiao has been active in sports engagements recently, including a visit to the Los Angeles Clippers’ Intuit Dome and attending a Major League Soccer match.
He also recently showed support for his son, Jimuel Pacquiao, during his bout against Darrick Gates.
