MPL PH: Team Liquid surges to 6-0 after dominating Smart Omega, TNC

There was no let-up for Team Liquid even after a nearly two-week break, sweeping Smart Omega and TNC last weekend to remain perfect in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 17.

The reigning back-to-back champions pulled off a pair of 2-0 victories to strengthen their solo hold on the top spot in the standings at 6-0, followed by Team Falcons (4-1) and ONIC (3-2).

Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno and midlaner Alston "Sanji" Pabico took turns leading their victory over Smart Omega last Friday. The multi-titled jungler shone on Leomord in Game 1, dropping three kills and five assists to lead the romp before Sanji torched the opposing side with Pharsa in Game 2. 

A late-game skirmish saw the two teams trade two pick-offs, but Sanji had a crucial double kill on Minguin (Valentina) and Netskie (Karrie) after unleashing the Feathered Air Strike before also taking down Raizen (Suyou) to carry the wipeout. 

Minion waves completed the job for Team Liquid as the Cavalry returned from the Holy Week break still showing the same fire and grit.

Jaypee "Jaypee" Dela Cruz and Sanford "Sanford" Vinuya then took over in their 2-0 win over TNC on Saturday. 

Jaypee posted two kills and 10 assists on Khaleed in Game 1 while Sanford's Uranus in Game 2 paved the way for yet another dominant showing for Team Liquid.
