Gilbert Muge, Christine Hallasgo rule Manila leg of Tri-City Half Marathon

Gilbert Muge and Christine Hallasgo emerged victorious in the Manila leg of the Tri-City Half Marathon Time Trial Race held last Sunday at the Quirino Grandstand.

Muge of Kenya clocked 1:08:26 to outpace the local marathoners. National record holder Sonny Wagdos finished second with 1:08:59, while Ricky Organiza placed third with a time of 1:09:08.

On the women’s side, 2019 Southeast Asian Games gold medalist Hallasgo topped the 21K race with a time of 1:21:04. She was followed by Jessa Mae Roda, who clocked 1:22:55, and Nicole Diloy, who finished in 1:30:38.

Officially titled the REV Tri-City Half Marathon and organized by Runrio, the event will also hold races in Makati this July and in Quezon City this December.
