Alex Eala heads to Madrid Open after Stuttgart stint

Alexandra “Alex” Eala is set to continue her clay-court campaign in Spain as she competes in the Madrid Open.
The Madrid Open will run from April 21 to May 3.

This marks her second appearance in the tournament after her debut last year, where she reached the Round of 64.
Eala bowed out in that round to Iga Swiatek, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.
The Madrid Open is a WTA 1000 event and is expected to feature top players such as Elena Rybakina, Aryna Sabalenka, Swiatek, and Jessica Pegula, among others.
Eala is coming off a first-round exit at the Stuttgart Open in Germany, where she lost to Leylah Fernandez, 6-1, 6-4.
