Ritchie Estampador, Christine Hallasgo rule 21K of Earth Day Run Manila leg

Ritchie Estampador and Christine Hallasgo ruled the 21K race of the Earth Day Run held last Sunday at the Mall of Asia Complex.

Estampador clocked one hour, 12 minutes, and 12 seconds to rule the race, 0.73 seconds ahead of James Kevin Cruz, who finished second. Joel Orogan, meanwhile, placed third with 1:14:00 to complete the podium.

National athlete Hallasgo, meanwhile, ruled the women’s 21K with 1:32:00, ahead of Katrina Salazar (1:34:53) and Yahchevah Daligdig (1:38:30).

Alfrence Braza finished as the fastest in the men’s 10K with 33:01, while Ronald Marilla (33:15) and Neil Maramba (35:18) completed the top three. On the women’s side, Edna Magtubo (39:20), Rocel Maestro (44:05), and Brizeth Deriquito (44:19) completed the top three.

Mark Anthony Oximar clocked 16:25 to finish as the fastest in the men’s 5K, followed by Vincent Arvin Avestruz, who was behind by 0.44 seconds, and Calvin Vidal, who clocked 16:50. Joida Gagnao timed 19:02, followed by Nicole Diloy (19:55) and Jo Punay (21:47) to complete the women’s 5K top three.

Around 15,000 runners joined the Earth Day Run organized by Runrio, with legs also to be held in Cebu on April 26.
