Dhenver Castillo clinches silver in windsurfing at Asian Beach Games
Dhenver Castillo rode the waves to a silver medal at the 2026 Asian Beach Games, finishing second in the boys’ foil windsurfing event on Tuesday at Sanya Bay Haihong Square in China.
The Filipino bet narrowly beat Thai rival Wachirawit Thonup to take the silver medal as both players garnered 39 net points through the 13-race marathon. But Castillo clinched the silver by collecting 58 total points. Thonup only had 57.
China's Yiguo Wang claimed the gold after a near-flawless 12 net points.

Castillo previously won a gold medal at the 2025 SEA Games, reigning supreme in the boys' iQFoil.
Castillo's silver medal run allowed the Philippines to increase its medal haul to eight as of writing.
