Ryan Tugawin rules Tour of Luzon Stage 8, Shulchenko stays atop general classification

Ryan Tugawin of Excellent Noodles Cycling Team ruled Stage 8 of the Tour of Luzon on Thursday, a day after the tournament took a break.

The road race covered 157.4 kilometers from Pagudpud to Paoay in Ilocos Norte.

Tugawin clocked 3:16:58 to finish first, followed by Ariff Danial Noor Roseidi of the Malaysia National Team and Filipino rider Marvin Mandac of Go for Gold Philippines.

Meanwhile, Nikita Shulchenko remained on top of the individual general classification with a cumulative time of 22:48:34.

Stage 9 will be held on Friday, with riders set to cover 142.6 kilometers from Laoag City to Candon City.
