Pinoy import Kramm slapped with seven-game suspension by MPL Malaysia
Filipino import Mark "Kramm" Rusiana has been given a heavy penalty in severe violation of the code of conduct in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Malaysia.
According to MPL Malaysia, Kramm, who currently plays for multi-titled club SRG Esports, sent messages to an unnamed fellow athlete, an action deemed unprofessional by MPL Malaysia.
In consequence, Kramm was given a seven-game suspension and a fine of USD 2,000.
"We have found Mark "Kramm" Rusiana in severe violation of the MPL Malaysia official rulebook and code of conduct. Kramm sent messages to an athlete in MPL Malaysia which violated multiple counts of the MPL Malaysia official rulebook," MPL Malaysia said in a statement.
"The stated violations and penalties are independent of the incident which we had previously issued a statement on. MPL Malaysia takes this opportunity to remind all teams and players of their shared responsibility to maintain a professional, respectful, and safe environment in the ecosystem."
In a separate statement, SRG said it is tackling the matter internally and shared that Kramm is now receiving proper guidance to solve the issues.
"We are reviewing the matter internally and will address it in accordance with established processes and standards of conduct," SRG said.
"The organization has always upheld the values of professionalism, respect, accountability within the esports ecosystem. We take this matter seriously and are currently engaging with the league to seek further clarification and understanding regarding the ruling and penalties imposed."
Kramm started playing for SRG in January 2024 alongside another Filipino, John Vincent "Innocent" Banal. Together, they helped the squad win multiple championships in Malaysia and in international events such as the MSC 2024.
