Carlos Yulo is back in a familiar place and his return culminated in a gold medal, helping Olympique Antibes-Juan-les-Pins (OAJLP) Gymnastique win the French Men's Artistic Gymnastics championship Top 12 Final in Amiens, France.

The Filipino star competed with OAJLP Gymnastique, a club based in Antibes, France. The Top 12 series, meanwhile, is France's premier club competition, featuring the 12 best teams in a head-to-head format.

Yulo, who captured a pair of gold medals in the same place during the 2024 Paris Olympics, showed off his brilliance anew to help steer the French squad to the throne.

And by doing so, OAJLP Gymnastique dethroned ASVG Vallauris.

Yulo scored 14.250 on a high-difficulty parallel bars routine and collected an impressive 15.050 points in his floor exercise on the way to steer the team to the gold medal.

"So proud of what we all did last night! Everyone gave their all and it really showed on the competition floor. A lot of stressful moments and pressure behind this win, which makes it even more special," Yulo said in an Instagram post.

"Really grateful for this team and everything we experienced together."

France holds a special place in the heart of Yulo, as it was where he produced a historic showing on the Olympic stage by ruling both the floor exercise and vault events to become the Philippines’ first-ever two-time Olympic gold medalist.
