Alexandra “Alex” Eala will face Switzerland’s Rebeka Masarova in the semifinals of the WTA 125 Birmingham Open on Saturday night.

The 26-year-old Masarova is currently ranked No. 132 in the world and has reached a career-high ranking of No. 62 in 2023.

Masarova advanced to the semifinals after defeating American Mary Stoiana, 6-4, 3-6, 6-0, in the quarterfinals.

Eala, meanwhile, booked her place in the last four with a convincing 6-3, 6-2 victory over Thailand’s Mananchaya Sawangkaew.
