The Lyceum of the Philippines University won't be denied this time, claiming the NCAA Season 101 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang crown after taking down Jose Rizal University in the grand finals on Thursday.

The Pirates pulled off a 3-1 series win against the Heavy Bombers, exacting revenge on the team that relegated them to the lower bracket last season before their eventual exit at the hands of Mapua University.

LPU raced to a commanding 2-0 lead in the best-of-five showdown, but JRU dominated the third game by finishing it off in 15 minutes to remain alive. Heavy Bombers' gold laner Ibisate led the rampage with a spotless KDA, dropping four kills and five assists on the Karrie to help JRU avoid a sweep.

The Heavy Bombers, who reached last year's championship round but lost to the eventual winner Colegio de San Juan de Letran, carried their momentum into Game 4 as midlaner Paradina (Yve) utilized the Real World Manipulation during a 15th-minute skirmish, giving JRU a 15-8 kill spread.

JRU even stole the Lord objective after a perfectly-timed Retribution from Sarmiento (Hanzo), but the Pirates turned things around to complete the reversal as LPU's gold laner, Santos (Brody), unloaded a double kill to spark the four-man wipeout and the title-clinching siege.
