Evans Bomer, Pamela Bundotich rule 10 Miler Manila 16K race
Kenyans Evans Bomer and Pamela Chepkoech Bundotich emerged victorious in the 16K race of the 10 Miler Manila leg held Sunday at the Quirino Grandstand.
Bomer topped the men's division with a time of 52 minutes and 45 seconds, ahead of Eduard Flores (54:09) and Ritchie Estampador (56:58).
Bundotich, meanwhile, dominated the women's field after clocking 1:03:10. Maricar Camacho finished second in 1:08:04, while Meljoy Gonzales placed third in 1:08:30.
Christian Pandili ruled the men's 10K race in 42:40, followed by Orly Sevilleno (43:13) and Shen Dandred Hernando (46:42).
Jocelyn Elijeran topped the women's 10K in 45:35, finishing ahead of Rika Hasebe (51:11) and Rovie Jay Angcona (56:51).
In the men's 5K, Jaren Ganan crossed the finish line first in 17:30, with Daren Wendil Diestro (17:43) placing second and Kristoffer Sison (19:15) taking third.
Kaye Kayralyn Villanueva won the women's 5K in 20:58, followed by Jo Punay (22:28) and Jessica Wilczak (23:39).
The Rexona 10 Miler series will next stage races in Quezon City, Makati, and Iloilo.
