UE ends four-year, 58-game losing streak with win over Adamson

The University of the East Lady Warriors ended their 58-game losing streak in the UAAP women's volleyball competition, posting a dominant win against the Adamson Lady Falcons, 25-17 25-22 29-27, on Wednesday at the FilOil Arena in San Juan.

The drought started in Season 74 for the Lady Warriors, before Shaya Adorador and Roselle Baliton led teir squad to a straight sets victory.

The duo combined for 27 big points off 22 kills, while team captain Celine Domingo and Mariella Gabarda added nine and eight points, respectively.

Only Jessica Galanza scored in double figures for Adamson with 13 poitns off 11 kills, one block, and an ace. Bernadette Flora added seven while Erika Alkuino had six, as Mylene Paat was limited to five markers. —Renee Fopalan/JST, GMA News
