UAAP: La Salle whether Rondina explosion with 5-set win

Defending champions DLSU needed five sets to buck a determined UST squad, eking out a 25-20 17-25 25-22 15-25 15-8 win on Saturday en route to their threepeat campaign in the UAAP Women’s Volleyball competition.

Team captain Majoy Baron led the Lady Spikers with 19 points off 12 kills, five denials, and two service aces, while Desiree Cheng chipped in 12 points off 11 kills. Aduke Ogunsaya also added 10 markers, while Kim Dy and Tin Tiamzon scored nine apiece.

The Lady Spikers had to whether a Cherry Rondina storm, as the veteran poured in 28 points off 25 attack points and two aces.
