Paat, Galanza steer Adamson to victory vs UP

Four players scored in double figures for the Adamson Lady Falcons, enough to lift them past the UP Lady Maroons, 25-9 27-25 25-20.

Adamson outclassed their counterparts on the offensive end, peppering the Lady Maroons with 40 attack points while allowing just 26. Mylene Paat had 15 points thanks to eight aces.

Team captain Jessica Galanza added 14 off 13 attack points, while Mary Joy Dacoron and Chiara Permentilla added 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Aside from their efficiency in attacks the Lady Falcons also leaned on their 17 aces while allowing just five.

UP, meanwhile, struggled to find a steady supply of points, with Diana Carlos being the only player delivering double figures with 12.

Isa Molde had seven, as the two accounted for 18 of UP's 26 attack points. Aside from the duo, no other UP player scored more than five points.

With the win, Adamson improved to 2-1, just behind unbeaten teams NU and La Salle. UP, meanwhile, slid to 1-2 to tie with Ateneo, UST, and FEU. — BAP, GMA News
