DLSU cruises past UE
The DLSU Lady Spikers bounced back from its five-set loss to the NU Lady Bulldogs on Saturday by beating the UE Lady Warriors, 25-18 25-17 25-20, at the FilOil Arena in San Juan.
The defending champions simply outclassed the winless Lady Warriors, registering 44 attack points while allowing just 24.
Majoy Baron and Des Cheng paced DLSU with 13 points each, accounting for 21 of La Salle’s 44 attack points.
Mary Ann Mendrez led UE with 12 points, while Shaya Adorador added 11. The two did most of the work for UE, combining for 19 kills.
In the men’s division, Ateneo defeated Adams 25-14 25-27 25-23 28-26 thanks to Mark Espejo’s 31 big points.
La Salle, meanwhile, overcame UE 25-14 25-20 19-25 25-21 thanks to Raymark Woo’s 24 and Arjay Onia’s 19. — BAP, GMA News
