NU routs UST to stay unbeaten

The NU Lady Bulldogs remained unbeaten in the UAAP Women’s Volleyball competition with a 25-19 14-25 25-19 28-26 victory over the UST Lady Tigresses on Sunday at the FilOil Arena in San Juan.

Jaja Santiago had 19 points off 16 attack points and two aces, getting a lot go help from her teammates. Aiko Urdas posted 10 off seven kills, while Roselyn Doria and Audrey Paran added nine apiece.

UST actually edged NU in attack points, 42-40, thanks to Sisi Rondina’s 22 kills for 25 points. However, the Espana-based squad committed 35 errors that spelled the difference in the match.

Carla Sandoval added 12 points off eight kills and three aces for UST, while Cherry Francisco and Dimdim Pacres combined for 15. — DVM, GMA News
