NU unbeaten no more, after loss to FEU

The FEU Lady Tamaraws slayed the only unbeaten team in the tournament on Wednesday, earning a 25-22 25-27 25-13 25-20 victory in the UAAP Women’s Volleyball tournament.

The Lady Tams edged NU in attack points, 47-41, with it was their stellar service that spelled the difference. The Morayta-based squad converted off 15 aces to NU’s four.

Bernadette Pons led FEU with 18 points off attacks, while Toni Rose Basas added 16 with 12 kills and two blocks. Celine Domingo chipped in 12 to round up all the Lady Tams in double figures.

NU also benefit from balanced scoring, but Jaja Santiago was limited to 13 off 10 kills and two blocks. Risa Sato led FEU with 14, while Roselyn Doria added 11.

Even with the loss, NU still leads all teams at 5-1, while FEU, Ateneo, and La Salle are tied at 4-2. — BAP, GMA News
