UAAP: NU Lady Bulldogs whip UP in straight sets

The NU Lady Bulldogs bucked a pesky UP squad on Sunday, registering a 25-23, 25-23, 25-17 win in the elimination round of the UAAP Women’s Volleyball tournament at the FilOil Arena in San Juan.

Jaja Santiago and Risa Sato scored 17 and 10 points, respectively, combining for 25 of their team’s 41 kills.

UP, on the other hand, was limited to 32 attack points, as Dianna Carlos and Isa Molde conspired for a combined 23 for 15 and 11 points, respectively.

With the win, NU improved to 6-1 besting FEU and La Salle who are tied at 5-2. UP, on the other hand, absorbed another loss for a 2-5 win-loss card. — BM, GMA News
