Lady Spikers avenge first round loss to Lady Bulldogs in straight sets

After their first round loss, the DLSU Lady Spikers bounced back with a 27-25 25-25 25-16 victory over the NU Lady Bulldogs at the FilOil Flying V Center in San Juan.
Des Cheng starred for DLSU with 13 points off 10 kills, while Kim Dy tallied 14 off nine attacks and three aces. Majoy Baron and Duke Ogunsanya chipped in 11 and nine points, respectively.
La Salle barely edged NU in attack points, 36-32, but they also pulled points from the other departments. The defending champions scored off nine blocks to NU’s five, while delivering 13 big aces.
Jaja Santiago had 13 points off 11 kills and two aces for NU, while Joy Doromal added 11. — DVM, GMA News
