Cheng, Dy deliver as DLSU downs UP

Des Cheng and Kim Dy scored 14 points each to lead the DLSU Lady Spikers to a 25-15 25-19 25-19 victory over the UP Lady Maroons on Wednesday.

La Salle recorded 34 attack points to UP’s 29, but the defending champions made a living off 15 service aces while allowing just four.

Tin Tiamzon and Duke Ogunsaya also provided ample support for La Salle, scoring nine and eight points, respectively.

UP, meanwhile, relied heavily on Dianna Carlos and Isa Molde, as the two scored a combined 26 points while accounting for 22 of the team’s 29 kills.

Five other players scored for the Diliman-based squad, but none of them tallied more than three points. — BAP, GMA News
