UAAP: Baron, Dy lift La Salle past FEU in five-set slugfest

The DLSU Lady Spikers recovered from a 2-1 hole to defeat the FEU Tamaraws, 25-17 21-25 16-25 25-20 15-5, to strengthen its hold of solo first in the UAAP Women’s Volleyball competition.
Majoy Baron and Kim Dy paced La Salle with 18 points each, combining for 25 of the team’s 48 attack points. Des Cheng chipped in 10, while Tin Tiamzon tallied nine.
With the win, La Salle improved to 8-2, while FEU is in second at 6-4. Ateneo and NU are tied at 6-3.
Bernadeth Pons led FEU with 16 points off 13 kills and two blocks, while Toni Rose Basas strung 12 points. Celine Domingo and Czarina Carandang also chipped in 11 markers each. — LA, GMA News
