UAAP: Lady Falcons shake off rust, rout UE

The Adamson Lady Falcons salvaged a five-set victory against the UE Lady Warriors on Sunday, 19-25 25-11 16-25 25-16 15-12, at the FilOil Flying V Center in San Juan.

The Lady Falcons dominated in kills, 62-39, but they also committed 35 errors to keep cellar dwellers UE in the match.

Jessica Galanza led Adamson with 22 points, while Mylene Past added 18. Christine Soyud and Mary Joy Dacoron combined for 21 more markers.

With the win, Adamson improved to fifth place at 4-5, while UE sank to 2-7.

Mary Ann Mendrez paced UE with 17 points off 15 kills and two aces, while Shaya Adorador chipped in 12, all off attack points. Judith Abil rounded up the Lady Warriors in double figures with 10. — LA, GMA News
