NU snaps skid with win over UE

The NU Lady Bulldogs shook off a determined UE squad, snapping their losing streak in the process en route to a 26-24 26-24 25-20 victory over the UE Lady Warriors.

Jaja Santiago scored 22 points off 18 kills and three blocks, while Risa Sato and Roselyn Doria chipped in a combined 22 more to give NU the straight sets victory.

Mary Ann Mendred and Shaya Adorador paced UE with 14 and 11 points, respectively, combining for 23 of UE’s 36 attack points.

With the win, NU improved to 7-6 in the standings, leaving them with only one match to play against FEU. Adamson, meanwhile, is at 5-6 with DLSU and UST still left in their schedule. — DVM, GMA News
