Ramil de Jesus named as nat'l women's volleyball team head coach

Multi-titled coach Ramil de Jesus is the new head coach of the Philippine women's volleyball team.

The announcement was made by Larong Volleyball ng Pilipinas, Inc. (LVPI) officials during the tryouts for the upcoming 2018 Asian Games, Friday night.

On photos posted in LVPI's Facebook page, some of the volleyball stars present during the tryouts were Alyssa Valdez, Jia Morado, Dindin Santiago-Manabat, Ara Galang, and Aby Maraño.

De Jesus is currently the head coach of DLSU Lady Spikers, which won 10 UAAP titles under his belt.

He also handled the Philippine women's volleyball delegation to the 2005 Southeast Asian Games which won bronze. — BAP, GMA News
