Former UP spiker Kathy Bersola is now 'Dr. Kathy' as PGH intern
Former University of the Philippines (UP) and Perlas player Kathy Bersola is well on her way in her other chosen field — medicine.
In a tweet on Friday, Bersola showed her identification card in the Philippine General Hospital which shows that she is a medical intern for the institution.

"Internship, rak!" Bersola wrote in the caption.
On July 16, Bersola said she would not be able to join Perlas in the Premier Volleyball League to focus on her medical studies.
"It has now become physically impossible for me to do both, with the strict league protocols, the league bubble being about 500km away, and me doing my rotations in PGH," Bersola said in the post of her Instagram caption two weeks ago.
"Internship is a whole different ball game and it’s about time for me to fully focus and give myself a fighting chance of becoming a great doctor someday. One year na lang!!!"
Bersola graduated from UP Diliman with a degree in Sports Science back in 2017. She finished summa cum laude with a general weighted average of 1.180.
