Team Rebisco of the Philippines dropped out of contention in the AVC Women's Club Volleyball Championship after suffering a defeat in straight sets from Thailand's Nakhon Ratchasima 25-11, 25-19, 25-18, on Monday in Thailand.

Up by just two after the second technical timeout, Nakhon Ratchasima started to pull away in the third set to eventually give them the win and a slot in the semifinals of the tournament. Despite the rally, Ivy Lacsina and Faith Nisperos showed a glimmer of hope for the national team after getting four points each in the said set.

Nakhon's Chatsuda Nilappa listed 13 points while Kuttika Kaewpin had 11 points. Chatchu-On Moksri had 10 points.

Meanwhile, Lacsina led Rebisco with nine points on eight attacks and a block, while Nisperos listed six points.

Rebisco will wait for the loser of the Choco Mucho-Supreme Chonburi quarterfinals match slated for 4:30 p.m.
