Hisamitsu deals Jaja Santiago's Saitama Ageo Medics straight sets loss

Jaja Santiago and the Saitama Ageo Medics could not make it back-to-back wins after suffering a straight sets loss to Hisamitsu Springs, 25-22, 25-23, 25-21, in the 2021 Japan V. League on Saturday at the Panasonic Arena. 

Ageo was coming off a sweep of the PFU Bluecats last Sunday and their defeat today dropped their record to 3-4. Hisamitsu, meanwhile, will improve to 6-1 for a solo second spot.

Santiago was silenced in this game, producing only seven points built on six attacks and one service ace while Yuka Sato chipped in eight attacks and one ace. But the former National University standout saw some improvements from her previous showing, where she notched just four markers.

Santiago’s club will look to bounce back on Sunday when they face the same team at 12 p.m.
