The Tuguegarao Perlas Spikers notched their first win in the Philippine National Volleyball Federation Champions League in a four-setter against California Precision Sports (CPS), 25-20, 25-27, 25-15, 25-17 on Sunday in Lipa City, Batangas.

Perlas was at match point, 24-14, before CPS survived three more points and tried to extend the game to another set. Tuguegarao then cut CPS' momentum with a timeout before they sealed the deal.

Nicole Tiamzon topped Perlas in scoring with 18 points off 14 attacks, while Casiey Dongallo led CPS, also with 18 points.

The Perlas Spikers (1-1) will be back in action on Monday against the Baguio Lady Highlanders at 10:00 am. California (0-2), meanwhile, will face the Chery Tiggo Crossovers at 1:30 p.m. of the same day.
