Four games featuring Jaja Santiago and her Saitama Ageo Medics have been canceled after the club recorded COVID-19 cases within the team.

In an update on the league's website, the Japan V.League said it is canceling the matches between Ageo and Victorina Himeji on January 29 and 30 as well the Ageo-Toray Arrows weekend clash on February 5 and 6.

The Japanese league added that positive individuals have also been recorded within Himeji.

"We sincerely apologize to all the customers and people involved in the tournament who have been looking forward to the match, but we appreciate your understanding," the team said.

Ageo had already seen its games against NEC Red Rockets last weekend canceled due to COVID-19 protocols.

Currently, Santiago's club is in sixth spot with a 10-6 win-loss record.
