Jaja Santiago, Ageo Medics fall to Toray Arrows for second loss in a row
Jaja Santiago's all-around showing was not enough as the Saitama Ageo Medics fell to Toray Arrows, 21-25, 25-21, 21-25, 18-25, in Japan V. League on Wednesday at the Yokooji Sports Park Gymnasium.
The towering Filipino import finished with 12 points anchored on impressive six blocks, five attacks, and an ace but her effort went for naught as Ageo slid to 16-12 while Toray improved to 23-6.
Mami Uchiseto also starred for the Medics, dropping 16 markers while Tisheira Lorenne had another superb outing highlighted by her 18 points on 17 attacks and a service ace.
The setback made it back-to-back losses for the team after enduring a straight-sets defeat against the defending champion JT Marvelous last weekend.
Ageo will look to get over the hump on Saturday, March 26, when they battle Toyota Auto Body at 2:30 p.m.
