Creamline, Petro Gazz collide in PVL All-Filipino opener

Powerhouse clubs Creamline and Petro Gazz will cross paths early as the two teams usher in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference that opens on February 4, Saturday, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Formerly known as the Open Conference, the All-Filipino tilt will see the defending champion Cool Smashers go up against the Angels at 6 p.m. while Akari and Choco Mucho square off at the opening salvo at 4 p.m.

Creamline is expected to go all out this season, especially after seeing its Grand Slam bid fail in the previous season. The Cool Smashers won both the 2022 Open and the Invitational Conferences, defeating Petro Gazz and KingWhale Taipei in the finals to move a championship away from a historic hat-trick.

But in the season-ending Reinforced Conference, Creamline failed to make it to the finals as the reigning titleholder Angels dominated Cignal to defend their title.

Meanwhile, PLDT and F2, both parading a new coach, will clash on February 7, with Chery Tiggo and Cignal closing out the Tuesday double-header at 6 p.m.
