NCAA MVP Dapol shines as Foton escapes Farm Fresh; PLDT sweeps Gerflor

NCAA Season 98 Most Valuable Player Mary Rhose Dapol stood out as the Foton Tornadoes outlasted the Farm Fresh Foxies, 18-25, 23-25, 31-29, 25-20, 18-16, on Saturday in the PVL Invitational Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.

Dapol, a guest player in the league, posted 28 points on top of 16 digs and seven receptions to lead the Tornadoes in their first win in four games, while Shaya Adorador had 24 points.

Kate Santiago and Wielyn Estoque had 22 points each as Farm Fresh ended its elimination round campaign with five losses. 

Meanwhile, the PLDT High Speed Hitters swept the Gerflor Defenders, 25-18, 25-17, 26-24 to improve to 2-1. 

Gerflor, on the other hand, will be relegated to the classification matches after dropping to 0-3.
