Japan's Kurashiki Ablaze downs Vietnam's Kinh Bac-Bac Ninh in PVL Invitational semis debut

Japanese team Kurashiki Ablaze took down Vietnam's Kinh Bac-Bac Ninh, 23-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-11, as both teams made their debut in the PVL Invitational Conference semifinal round on Saturday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.

Tamaru Asaka led the Japan squad with 29 points while Yano Yukino had 17 points for the squad's first win.

Huong Nguyen led the Vietnamese crew with 14 points.

The top two teams at the end of the round robin semifinals will advance to the championship match.

Kurashiki Ablaze and Kinh Bac-Bach Ninh are guest teams in the Invitational Conference. Previously, the league back in 2022 also hosted KingWhale Taipei as its guest team.
