Roger Gorayeb to make PVL comeback as coach of Capital1

Roger Gorayeb PVL Capital1 Power Spikers coach

Roger Gorayeb is making his much-awaited comeback in the professional scene as the veteran tactician has been named to call the shots for Capital1 Solar Energy, the newest club to join the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).

The multi-titled coach was tasked by team co-owners Milka and Mandy Romero, the daughters of sports patron Mikee Romero, to handle the Power Spikers as Gorayeb makes his PVL return after three years.

According to the club, Gorayeb, who also handles San Sebastian's women's volleyball program in the NCAA, will hold a two-day tryout on Tuesday and Wednesday at the San Sebastian College-Recoletos Gym.

Gorayeb last coached a PVL club during the 2021 PVL Open Conference when he was at the helm of PLDT, but left in January 2022 to end an eight-year stint with the franchise.

Capital1 will join Strong Group as the latest additions to the PVL clubs.
