PVL: PLDT downs Creamline; Chery Tiggo clinches semis slot

The PLDT High Speed Hitters ended its campaign in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference on a high note as they defeated the Creamline Cool Smashers, 22-25, 25-14, 25-22, 27-25, on Thursday at the Philsports Arena in Pasig.

Savi Davison led PLDT with 27 points anchored on 25 attacks, while Erika Santos and Mae Ceballos chipped in 15 and 13 points respectively as the High Speed Hitters ended the conference with an 8-3 card.

Jema Galanza, meanwhile, had 16 points in the Cool Smashers loss which also gave them an 8-3 record.

The Cool Smashers, however, are assured of a slot in the semis as it had 24 points, while PLDT had 23.

Earlier, the Chery Tiggo Crossovers also secured a slot in the semifinals after outlasting the Galeries Tower High Risers, 26-24, 23-25, 19-25, 25-12, 15-9.

Eya Laure posted 20 points from 15 attacks and five blocks, while Ara Galang had 13 points as the Crossovers finished the elimination round with nine wins and two losses. 

France Ronquillo had 15 points in Galeries' gallant stand which ended its conference with a 3-8 card.

Choco Mucho, Petro Gazz, Chery Tiggo, and Creamline make up the All-Filipino semifinals which starts on Tuesday.
