PVL: Jema Galanza leads Creamline past Petro Gazz for first semis win

Jema Galanza led Creamline in its escape of Petro Gazz, 27-25, 23-25, 27-25, 26-24, to barge into the win column of the PVL All-Filipino Conference semifinals on Thursday at the Philsports Arena.

The win came after the Cool Smashers fell to Choco Mucho in a five-setter last Tuesday.

Galanza proved to be clutch as she delivered the last two points to hand Creamline the win as they ended the deciding set in a 6-1 run.

She also paced the Cool Smashers with 23 points anchored on 20 attacks and three blocks.

Tots Carlos, in her return from the Korean V.League tryouts, immediately made an impact for Creamline with 21 points from 17 attacks, three blocks, and an ace.

Brooke Van Sickle and Jonah Sabete had 22 points apiece, while MJ Phillips had 17 points as Petro Gazz dropped to 1-1.

The Cool Smashers will face Chery Tiggo next, while the Angels will go against Choco Mucho on Sunday.
