UST overcomes Adamson in five sets to snap three-game losing skid in UAAP women's volleyball

The University of Santo Tomas overcame Adamson University, 25-18, 23-25, 22-25, 27-25, 15-8, to snap its three-game losing skid in the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball tournament on Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Angge Poyos and Reg Jurado led the Golden Tigresses with 27 and 20 points, respectively, as UST improved to 6-4.

The win spoiled another 30-point explosion from Shaina Nitura who had 36 points anchored on 32 attacks, three blocks, and an ace as Adamson slipped to 3-7.

In the men's division, UST (6-4) swept Adamson (2-8), 25-12, 25-18, 25-18.
