PLDT advances to AVC Champions League quarterfinals as Australian club bows out

PLDT, one of the three Philippines teams bannering the flag together with Creamline and Petro Gazz, advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2025 AVC Women's Champions League. 

The High Speed Hitters made it to the Final 8 after Australian club Queensland Pirates fell to Thailand's Nakhon Ratchasima QminC earlier today in a sweep to ultimately crash out of contention.

PLDT had already beaten the Queensland Pirates on Sunday night with imports Wilma Salas and Savi Davison powering their 25-19, 25-12, 25-12 win. 

PLDT and Nakhon Ratchasima, who will still slug it out on Tuesday to determine the top seed, are tied at 1-0 in Pool D while the Australian representatives are at 0-2.
