From NCAA to Asia: Donna Paralejas seizes opportunity to play with Petro Gazz in AVC
Donna Paralejas has come a long way in her volleyball career.
From representing Arellano University in the NCAA, the 24-year old setter is now a champion with Petro Gazz in the Premier Volleyball League.
Just days after, she also played with the Angels in the AVC Women's Champions League where Petro Gazz, along with Creamline and PLDT, represented the Philippines.
As Petro Gazz fought for a spot in the semis against China's BAIC Motor Volleyball Club, Paralejas showcased her talent as a reliever for starting setter Chie Saet.
"Sobrang laki po ng opportunity na binigay sa akin," Paralejas said on Friday after the Angels' five-set thriller against BAIC Motor.
The Arellano product, who was drafted 18th overall in last year's draft, did not expect to play in the AVC tournament, but she managed to seize the opportunity given to her as she took some lessons home.
