Tin Tiamzon joins Cignal in return to volleyball

Tin Tiamzon is returning to volleyball as she joins Cignal in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).

Cignal welcomed Tiamzon on Thursday.

"I'm just really excited to be back and play the sport I love again. I realized I won’t be as young as I am now. I feel like when I last played here, I didn’t reach my full potential. I think I still have a chance to do so and I don’t want to look back at my career and be filled with what ifs,” Tiamzon said.

Tiamzon last played with the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers in 2022 before she reunited with her family in Canada in 2023.

The De La Salle University standout will join former teammate Dawn Macandili-Catindig in Cignal.

HD Spikers head coach Shaq delos Santos hopes Tiamzon will be a big help to the team as it finished outside of the playoff picture in the last All-Filipino Conference.

“Sana with Tin on board, matulungan niya 'yung mga younger players namin. Since her days in La Salle, dami niyang experience in big games, championship games and sana madala niya dito 'yun. Looking forward kami to see ano pa 'yung mabibigay n'ya samin since bata pa naman siya and marami siyang maco-contribute sa'min sa laro niya,” said Delos Santos.
